Tiled Tub Area
The bathroom started with a simple, builder’s stock, tan fiberglass shower unit in the corner. The homeowners wanted to have a tub in this bathroom instead. So, they chose a porcelain tile to complement the existing wallpaper (which we were able to salvage, along with the existing flooring). We designed a pattern using the selected tile. The idea was that, since there would be a lot of tile in one corner of the room, we wanted to make it a center piece or focal point and break up the area with accent tiles, borders and recessed shelving. This ensured that it would never look like a cold, heavy, stone wall. On the contrary, it has a warm inviting feel as any bath should. From the tile, to the classic style faucet, to the extra deep tub, everything came together beautifully.
