Glass Block Wall and Tile Shower

This is the main bathroom in the house. It was very dated containing a small tub and sink where the shower now stands and a small desk where the new vanity is. We took everything out including a large soffit that ran the length of the room above the shower and toilet and a closet that pushed in from the hallway. We re-ran the pipes to catch the new fixtures and adjusted the heating duct to allow for the new vanity placement. From there we built a very large custom shower pan (4′ x 6.5′) covered in 3″x3″, Color Blox mosaic, ceramic tile with a glass block wall enclosure. The recessed shelf and small foot rest are two convenient additions. The floor was done in a 12″x12″ alternating color pattern of the same tile. We moved the tile up on the walls as a wainscoting with an alternating color border for still another use of these striking tiles. A new vanity and medicine cabinet in a medium stained wood complements the Color Blox tile counter as well as the tiles throughout the rest of the room. The light fixtures, chosen by the customer, are a great finish to the room and help tie it into the rest of the house which is decorated in a vintage style.
